‘Knockout tuyo’ ni Melindo

CEBU, Philippines - Nanganti si two-time world title challenger Milan ‘El Metodico’ Melindo (34-2, 12KOs)  nga iyang nak-awton ang Thai  boxer nga si Fahlan Sakkreerin Jr. (31-4, 16KOs) atol unya sa ilang interim IBF light flyweight title showdown sa main event sa “Pinoy Pride 39: Road to Redemption” fightcard karong Sabado sa gabii diha sa Cebu Coliseum.

“Knockout gyud akong tuyo,” matud pa ni Melindo atol sa final press conference kagahapon didto sa The Social sa SM Seaside City.

“Wa nako siya (Sakkreerin) gi-underestimate pero   salig ko sa akong training. I trained hard for this.”

“He can say whatever he wants. Just like him, this fight is important for me. I also want to be a world champion,” matud pa sa langyaw’ng boksidor.

Sa iyang bahin, si  ALA Promotions President Michael Aldeguer mipadayag sa iyang dakung pagsalig ni Melindo uban ang pahimangno nga dili mokompiyansa batok sa Thai boxer.

“I am confident with Milan’s chance of winning. We have talked to him and he is aware that this  one is crucial. This will be his last chance to become a world champion,” matud pa ni Aldeguer.

“He has always been one of our fighters that have big potential to be a world champ and hopefully this is the chance that we have all been waiting for.”

Buot usab ni Aldeguer nga modaog si Melindo sa Cebu Coliseum aron mapapas ang ngil-ad nilang kasinatian sa katapusan nilang fight card sa maong binyu niadtong tuig 2008 diin napilde si AJ Banal pinaagi sa TKO ni Panamanian Rafael Concepcion sa ilang WBA interim super flyweight bout.
