PBA Rookie Draft apektado sa pagbuhay sa Gilas cadet program

Carla Jean Camerino - Pilipino Star Ngayon

“It’s a common problem across the globe brought about by the new FIBA calendar. We thought at the SBP that the best way to solve the problem is to create a cadet team focused entirely to train and participate in the international tourneys,” sabi ni Panlilio.

“I’m in talks with (PBA commissioner) Chito (Narvasa). I will sit down with him to share with him the SBP plan,” wika ni Panlilio.

“The PBA will benefit as the league will get quality players in the end. This was the case with the original Gilas team,” sabi pa ni Panlilio.

Sina Greg Slaughter, Japeth Aguilar, Rabeh Al-Hussaini, Jvee Casio, Mark Barroca, Marcio Lassiter, Chris Lutz, Chris Tiu at Mac Baracael ay mga dating blue-chip prospects bago sumalang sa PBA draft.

Ang mga planong isama sa bagong cadet pool ay sina Kiefer Ravena, Mac Belo, Kevin Ferrer, Roger Pogoy, Cris Mike Tolomia, Jiovani Jalalon at Von Pessumal.
