BRMeraña - Pilipino Star Ngayon

TOKYO -- Walong gintong medalya.

Ito ang target na sikwatin ng Pinoy swimmers na ipinadala ng Philippine Swimming League (PSL) sa 2016 Tokyo Winter Swimming pool dito.

“We are aiming for eight gold medals this time. A lot of good swimmers are here especially those from host country and some swimmers coming from European countries. It’s gonna be a tough one but our swimmers will be going all out to win medals,” sabi ni PSL president Susan Papa.

Kabilang sa sasandigan ni Papa na makapag-uuwi ng ginto ay sina Swimmer’s of the Year top candidate Sean Terence Zamora at Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh, ang nag-iisang babaeng lahok ng PSL sa four day meet.

Sasalang sina Mojdeh, mag-aaral mula sa Immaculate Heart of Mary College-Parañaque sa girls’ 9-under class, habang si Dula, mula sa Weisenheimer Acedemy ay kakampay sa boys’ 8-under category at ang pamabato ng PSL sa boys 15-over division si Zamora ng University of Santo Tomas.

Bukod sa tatlong swimmers na nabanggit, aasinta rin ng ginto sa  kani-kanilang division sina Joey Del Rosario ng La Salle-Zobel (boy’s 8); Jux Keaton Solita, Martin Jacob Pupos ng National University, at sina University of the Philippines tankers Drew Benett Magbag at Lans Rawlin Donato sa boys’ 15-over

“We are happy with the support of some Filipinos here in Japan. Some of them are bringing fruits and foods for our swimmers,” ani Papa.
