Roach umaasa na ‘di pa pinal ang pagreretiro ni Pacquiao
MANILA, Philippines – Naniniwala si American trainer Freddie Roach na hindi pa bibitiwan ni eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao ang boksing matapos ang kanyang laban kay American Timothy Bradley sa Abril 9 sa MGM Grand Arena sa Las Vegas, Nevada.
Nauna nang inihayag ni Pacquiao na ito na ang kanyang huling laban.
Umaasa si Roach na hindi pa pinal ang desisyon ng Pinoy champion dahil nais pa nitong makaharap ng kanyang bata sa ikalawang pagkakataon si Floyd Mayweather Jr.
“So far he says he’s going to retire no matter what. I might be the one that hopes something happens, maybe Floyd (Mayweather Jr.) one more time. He’d be healthy and do much better than the first time. I was very disappointed with the first fight. I know Manny can do much better than that. I would love to see that fight one more time,” ani Roach sa panayam ni Michael Rosenthal ng RingTV.com.
Sinabi ni Roach na mataas pa rin ang lebel ng paglalaro ni Pacquiao partikular na ang bilis nito kaya’t nanghihinayang ang American coach sakaling matuloy kanyang pagreretiro.
Puspusan na ang paghahanda ni Pacquiao para sa kanyang laban kontra kay Bradley.
Nais ni Roach na ma-knockout ni Pacquiao ang kanyang karibal.
“If Manny knocks out Bradley, I’ll be happy. That’s the only way I’ll be happy. And he told me for this camp he wants a knockout. That’s the first time he’s told me that in long, long time,” pagtatapos ni Roach.
