Japan kampeon sa Spike for Peace

MANILA, Philippines – Ipinagpatuloy ng tambalang Ayumi Kusano at Akiko Hasegawa ng Japan ang kanilang pagpa­pasiklab nang igupo ang Sweden, 21-19, 21-12  para ibulsa ang korona ng Spike for Peace International beach volley tournament kagabi sa Philsports Arena.

Ipinakita nina Kusano, isang veteran beach volley player at Hasegawa, isa sa pinakamahusay na indoor players ang kanilang teamwork na nagdomina sa nasabing event at iuwi ang top prize na $8,000.

Hindi nakaporma sina Anne-Lie Rininsland at Karin Lundqvist, na pina­kamatangkad na manla­laro sa Japanese pair’s all-around game at nakuntento sa runner-up na may premyong $5,000.

Hinablot ng Indonesia, ang giant-killer ng torneo, ang third place trophy matapos ilista ang 21-16, 19-21, 15-8 panalo laban sa Brazil sa beach volleyball event na inorganisa ng PSC.

Ibinulsa nina Juliana Dhita at Dini Putu ang premyong $4,000, habang nakuntento ang mga Brazilians sa $3,000.
