Soguilon, Esmero sasalang na sa aksyon
TOKYO-- Sisimulan nina Philippine Swimming League standouts Charize Juliana Esmero ng University of the Philippines (UP) Integrated School at Kyla Soguilon ng Kalibo Sun Yat Sen School ang kampanya ng delegasyon sa 2015 Japan Swimming Championship ngayon sa Tokyo International Swimming Pool dito.
Si Esmero ay isang medalist sa UAAP at siya ay lalangoy sa girls’ 11-12 50-meter backstroke sa ganap na 9 a.m at ang Milo Female Junior Athlete of the Year na si Soguilon ay kakampanya sa girls’ 9-10 50m backstroke.
“What’s very important in this competition is the exposure of these young PSL swimmers. We told every swimmers not to be pressured but enjoy the competition. Meet new friends and learn things from them,” wika ni PSL president Susan Papa.
Ang iba pang swimmers na kasama at magpupuntirya ng medalya ay sina Sean Terence Zamora ng University of Santo Tomas (boys’ 15-18 200m backstroke), Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh ng Immaculate Heart of Mary College-Parañaque (girls’ 9-10 100m butterfly), Lans Rawling Donato ng UP (boys’ 15-18 100m butterfly), Paul Christian King Cusing ng Diliman Preparatory School (boys’ 15-18 200m Individual Medley), at UAAP gold medalist Drew Benett Magbag of UP (boys’ 15-18 200m breaststroke).
“It takes a lot of effort to make this trip a reality. But our president has this passion of helping these kids and we are happy that we’re able to help our swimmers through our grassroots development program,” wika naman ni PSL Secretary General Maria Susan Benasa.
Ang mga kikilalaning Most Outstanding swimmers bawat age group ay may tropeo habang ang mga male at female tanker na nakakuha ng pinakamataas na FINA points ay may hiwalay pang tropeo.
