PSL 86th National Series lalarga ngayon sa Baguio

MANILA, Philippines – Ipagpapatuloy ng Philippine Swimming League (PSL) ang kanilang pagtuklas ng mga bagong talento sa pagdayo sa Baguio City para sa pagdaraos ng 86th National Series na tinaguriang ‘Baguio Halloween Swim Meet na pakakawalan ngayon sa Athletics Bowl Swimming Pool Complex.

Magsisilbing qualifying para sa prestihiyosong Summer World University Games ang isang araw na torneo na iho-host ng Baguio Penguins Swim Club sa pangunguna ni Antonette Reyes Cheng.

Qualifying din ang nasabing tournament sa iba pang international meet  na  sasalihan ng PSL  tankers gaya ng Phuket Invitational Swimming Championship sa Thailand at Indian Ocean All-Star Challenge sa Australia.

“This will be the first visit of Philippine swimming to Baguio and we hope to qualify swimmers there going to Universiade. The Baguio City Sports Promotion and Development Council sponsored the use of the pool as the council is set to frame a unified sports code as if standardize its function in the sports development  in the summer capital,” ani  PSL President Susan Papa.

Inaasahang mahigit sa 200 swimmers ang lalangoy sa naturang competition na babanderahan ng veteran international campaigner na si Nathan Cheng.

“Nathan has been with the Philippine Swimming League in many international competitions in Singapore, China, Hong Kong and Thailand, and now looking forward to the World University Games 2017 in Taipei, Taiwan,” dagdag pa ni Papa.

May nakalaang medalya ang ibibigay sa top three finishers sa bawat age categories habang tatanggap ng tropeo ang tatanghaling Most Outstanding Swimmers awardees.
