13 Visayan swimmers nag-qualify sa Summer Games sa Taiwan

MANILA, Philippines -Nasa 13 manlalangoy mula Western Visayas Region ang kumuha ng puwesto sa Summer World University Games matapos ang 84th Philippine Swimming League (PSL) National Seriels Swimming Championship sa Aklan Provincial Sports Complex sa Makato, Aklan.

Ang mga nakapaglaro sa Gwangju Universiade na sina Rose Mary Occeno, Cyra Dawn Montano, Kobe Soguilon  at Alic Deniel Dela Cruz ang mga nanguna sa listahan.

Nakakuha rin ng puwesto sina Krisha Ame Laira Faye Enero, Jeah Faith Pamunag, Ro­bert Villa­nueva, Jaymee Bungca­san, Andrew Joven, Mi­ch­ael Novem Jarder, Karl Joshua Perlas at Edelyn Villareal.

“These are the lucky swimmers who have qualified to the World Summer University Games. We are opening the door to all talented swimmers in the country, as we want these young swimmers to experience a once in a lifetime opportunity competing against the world’s best in an Olympic-style competition,” wika PSL President Susan Papa.

Ang 28th World Summer University Games ay gagawin sa New Taipei City sa Taiwan sa 2017.

Ang Aklan Swimming Team ang siyang lumabas bilang overall champion sa 1,711 puntos upang talunin ang John B. Lacson Swim Team na may  833 puntos.

Pumangatlo ang Capiz Turbo Shark Swim Team sa nalikom na 793 bago sumunod ang Poseidon Swim Club (773), Malinao Swim Team (187), Aklan Scientific Sports Allian (74), Sarangani Bay Waves (69), British School of Manila (55) at Academy of Holistic Learning (50).
