SPLC 'Ruby Jubilee Run' gitakda
CEBU, Philippines - Kapin sa usa ka libo ka mga runners ang gipaabot nga modagan sa St. Paul Learning Center “Ruby Jubilee Run” sa Oktubre 3 diha sa Cebu Business Park.
Ang lumba nga adunay og 10K, 5K, 3K ug 1K (family run) categories, usa ka charity run alang sa ilang tinuig nga “Adopt-A-School Program”.
“We are educating our students about having a healthy lifestyle and this run will also help us in gathering funds for our outreach program. We will be giving school supplies, conducting feeding programs and school beautification for our adopted public schools in barangay Banawa, Sapangdaku and Guadalupe,” matud pa ni SPLC principal Elma Ma Bergado sa press conference kagahapon didto sa SPLC audio visual room.
Uban sa mga running enthusiasts, tinun-an ug mga ginikanan sa SPLC, modagan usab ang mga batan-ong runners gikan sa Cebu City Sports Commission (CCSC) grassroots program.
Ang maong mga grassroots athletes gibansay nila ni veteran runner ug triathlete Philip Duenas ug reigning marathon queen Mary Joy Tabal.
Ganting salapi ug medalya ang nagpaabot sa mga top finishers sa matag kategoriya.
Gisugdan na ang registration diha sa SPLC campus sa Brgy. Guadalupe, Runnr sa Ayala Center Cebu ug Infinitea sa City Times Square. Nagkantidad kini og P500 sa 10K, P400 sa 5K, P350 sa 3K ug P250 sa 1K libre na ang singlet, race bib ug post-race refreshments. (BANAT PALARO)
