National team mas pinaigting ang paghahanda sa Le Tour

MANILA, Philippines – Lalo pang pinaigting ng national men’s team, sasabak sa dalawang major international competitions ngayong taon, ang kanilang paghahanda para sa 2015 Le Tour de Filipinas na pakakawalan sa Linggo sa Balanga, Bataan.

Babanderahan ni defending champion Mark John Lexer Galedo,  lalahok ang Nationals sa Asian Cycling Championships sa Thailand ngayong buwan at sa Singapore Southeast Asian Games sa Hunyo.

Hinikayat ng PhilCycling ang koponan na angkinin ang korona ng UCI Asia Tour road race na inihahandog ng Air21 katuwang ang MVP Sports Foundation at Smart.

“It is always very inspi­ring for our cyclists to win an international race on home soil and a victory could translate into a heightened enthusiasm toward cycling,” sabi ni Donna Lina-Flavier, ang presidente ng Le Tour de Filipinas organizer Ube Media.

Babanderahan ni Ga­ledo, ang time trial gold me­dalist noong 2013 Myanmar Sea Games, ang PhilCycling National Team na magsasanay sa Belgium bilang pagha­handa sa Singapore Games kasama ang 20-anyos na si Ronald Lomotos at ang 22-anyos na sina George Oconer, Incheon Asian Games ve­teran Ronald Oranza at Jun Rey Navarra.

Ang mga continental teams na makikita sa karerang itinataguyod din ng Victory Liner, San Mig Zero, Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals Phils. at ng Canon ay ang Team Novo Nordisk, ang unang professional cycling team na binubuo ng mga riders na may Type 1 Diabetes, RTS Santic Ra­cing Team at Attaque Team Gusto ng Taiwan,Singha Infinite Cycling Team ng Thailand, Navitas Satalyst Racing Team, CCN Cycling Team ng Brunei, Pegasus Continental Cycling Team ng Indonesia, Terengganu Cycling Team ng Malaysia, Bridgestone Anchor Cycling Team ng Japan, Pishgaman Yzad Pro Cycling Team at Tabriz Petrochemical Team ng Iran at ang 7-Eleven-Road Bike Philippines.

Ang Stage One sa Peb. 1 ay  isang 126-km Balanga-Balanga (Bataan) kasunod ang 153.75-km Balanga-Iba (Zambales) Stage Two, 149.34-km Iba-Lingayen (Pangasinan) Stage Three at 101-km Lingayen-Baguio City Stage Four.
