Wala pang mantsa Texters pinutulan ng linya ang Bolts

MANILA, Philippines - Dumiretso ang Talk ‘N Text sa kanilang pang-limang sunod na panalo at napanatiling walang dungis ang kanilang record.

Nag-init sa third period, tinapos ng Tropang Texters ang dalawang sunod na pamamayagpag ng Meralco Bolts matapos kunin ang 91-68 panalo para patuloy na angkinin ang liderato ng 2014 PA Commissioner’s Cup kagabi sa Cuneta Astrodome sa Pasay City.

Ngunit bago labanan ang Meralco ay naglatag muna ng komplikadong defensive plan si Talk ‘N Text head coach Norman Black.

“I thought today was a good example of a very good defensive effort on our part,” sabi ni Black. “The defensive game plan was very complicated going into this game because of the talent of Brian Butch.”

Ang sinasabing defensive effort ni Black ay ang paglimita nila kina 6-foot-10 import  Butch at Gary Da­vid.

Tumapos si Butch na may 16 puntos at hindi nakaiskor sa fourth quarter, habang may 8 markers si David para sa Bolts.

Sinasabing papalitan na si Butch ni 6’8 Darnell Jackson para sa kanilang laro ng Air21 bukas sa Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Mula sa 43-33 abante sa halftime ay pinalobo ng Talk ‘N Text ang kanilang abante sa 59-40 kontra sa Meralco mula sa three-point play ni Harvey Carey sa 4:21 ng third period.

Sa ikalawang laro, ti­na­pos ng Ginebra ang ka­nilang dalawang sunod na kamalasan matapos gibain ang minamalas na Global­port, 113-107.
