Tuburan chessfest gitakda sa Dec. 28-29

CEBU, Philippines - Pipila  ka  mga dekalibre ug tang-ang  chess players dinhi sa Sugbu ang mopakita sa ilang abilidad sa 1st Tuburan Inter Municipalities and Cities Chess Team Tournament nga gitakda karong Disyembre 28-29  didto  sa Tuburan plaza.

 Ang torneyo nga nagtanyag og kinatibuk-ang P80,000 nga ganting salapi ngadto sa mananaog pormal nga gilusad sa pagpangulo ni Tuburan Mayor Democrito 'Aljun' Diamante kagahapon didto sa Harold's Hotel. Uban ni Diamante mao sila si event coordinator Marvin Y. Ruelan, FIDE Arbiter Bob Tojong, CPA Rodrigo Ababat ug Brgy. Capt. Vicente T. Bornia Jr.  

 "Tuburan has already hosted several sporting events in the past like cycling, basketball, tennis and boxing to name a few. This time, however, we feel that we have to offer something new to our people through this beautiful European board game. This is also our humble way of encouraging Cebuano chess players to further excel in this sporting discipline that is often left out of support it richly deserves," matud pa ni Diamante.

 "I hope that the participants will find this helpful in improving their skills and eventually motivate them to bring honor and pride to our country in international competitions someday," dugang pa ni Diamante, kinsa mao sab ang League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP)-National Vice President for the Visayas.

 Gawas sa mga tropeyo, ang kampiyon mobulsa og P30,000, ang second placer makadawat og P20,000 ug ang third makaangkon og P10,000.

 Ang fourth ug fifth placers makadawat og P6,000 ug P4,000 matag usa. Ang top individual performers makadawat og bonus nga P1,000 matag usa alang sa boards 1 ug 2 ug P750 sa boards 3 ug 4.

 Matag team langkuban og upat ka regular players ug usa ka reserve.  Ang mga players kinahanglan malista sa fixed order gikan sa  board 1 hangtod sa  board 4 plus alternate.

 Ang duha ka adlaw nga kompetisyon bukas sa tanang lungsod ug siyudad. Ang 5-round Swiss system o round robin ang format sa duwa depende sa numero sa mga entrante.

 Matag lungsod mahimong mokuha'g usa ka import, kinsa dili botante sa lungsod nga iyang girepresentahan.

 Ang mga magduduwa nga nipadayag na sa ilang partisipasyon mao ang managsuong Sevillano nga silang Voltaire ug Rhenzi Kyle nga morepresentar sa host Tuburan, Richard Natividad sa Bogo, Mario Mangubat sa Minglanilla ug NM Leonardo Alidani ug Eden Diano sa Mandaue ug uban pa.
