Pinoy tracksters humakot ng medalya sa Thailand meet
MANILA, Philippines - Kumolekta ang Pilipinas ng 10 gold, 10 silver at 9 bronze medals sa nakaraang 2013 Thailand Open AthleÂtics Championships sa Thamassat University sa Bangkok, Thailand.
Kabuuang 29 medalya ang nakuha ng 43-athlete PhiÂlippine delegation tampok ang pagtatala ni Jessa Mangsat ng bagong record sa women’s 300m steeplechase sa bilis na 1:08 segundo.
Ang iba pang gold medalists ay sina Jennyrose Rosales (400m Woman), Arniel Ferrera (Hammer throw), Edgardo Alejan Jr. (400m Male), Evalyn Palabrica (Javelin Throw), Katherine Khay Santos (Long Jump), Mary Lyn Avila (400m Hurdle), Riezel Buenaventura (Pole Vault) at Mervin Guarte (800m) at sina Alejan Jr., Archand Christian Bagsit, Julius Nierras, at Isidro Del Prado (4x400 relay M).
Ang mga sumikwat ng silver medal ay sina Josie Malacad (Hurdle), Julian Reem Fuentes (Long Jump), Junrey Bano (Hurdle), Rosie Villarito (Javelin Throw), Harry Diones (Triple Jump ), Reyvieth Peñarubia at Ernest John Obiena (Pole Vault).
Sina Katherine Khay Santos, Princess Joy Griffith, Hanelyn Loquinto, Jennyrose Rosales, Jordan Paul Billones, Nessa Mangsat at Lorelie Sermona ang nagbulsa ng bronze medals.
Pinasalamatan nina head of delegation Joseph Sy at Lerma Gabito ang suporta ni athletics Vice Chairman Philip Juico.
Si Juico, dating chairman ng Philippine Sports CommisÂsion (PSC), ay ang kasalukuyang presidente ng Wack Wack Golf and Country Club at Vice Chair ng Philippine Amateur Track and Field Association.
