Ilang palaruan sa RMSC, NAS winasak ng bagyong Maring
MANILA, Philippines - Ilang venue sa Rizal Memorial Sports Complex ang nasira dahil sa malawakang pagbaha bunga ng hanging Habagat at ng bagyong ‘Maring’.
Sinabi ni Boy Dinglasan, ang acting property department chief ng Philippine Sports Commission, na nagkaroon ng sira ang Rizal Memorial Coliseum, Ninoy Aquino Stadium, Gymnastics at Badminton Centers.
Posibleng mangailangan ito ng major repair, ayon kay Dinglasan. Ang venue na pinakamalaki ang sira ay ang Ninoy Aquino Stadium, natuklap ang maple flooring dahil sa baha.
“Both Rizal and Ninoy have maple floors, the difference is that the Rizal can be disasembled and dried while the Ninoy, It can not,†wika ni Dinglasan. “We’re still looking at the damage at the Gymnastics Center but the taraflex flooring in the Bamdinton venue can be dried and cleaned.â€
Samantala, naalis na ng PSC ang tubig-baha mula sa basketball at volleyball venues kasama na dito ang Ninoy Aquino Stadium na sumailalim sa renobasyon ilang taon na ang nakararaan.
Ayon kay Dinglasan, ang pagbaha ay bunga na rin ng palpak na drainage system sa mga kalsada ng Adriatico at Vito Cruz, Manila.
“Yes, the poor drainage was one of the causes. Also, the Vito Cruz was used to be a lower ground than the Rizal complex, now its the other way around so the water goes straight to us,†ani Dinglasan.
