Jordan kinakabog sa Gilas

MANILA, Philippines - Aminado si coach Eva­ngelos Alexandris ng Jordan na malaki ang epekto ng kanilang 87-91 kabiguan sa Chinese-Taipei sa pagharap nila sa Gilas Pilipinas ngayong alas-8:30 ng gabi.

“It will be a very, very strong team for us,” wika ni Alexandris sa pamamagitan ng interpreter. 

“Philippines are really a good team. This team will have the crowd supporting them. It will be difficult.”

Sa kanilang pagkatalo sa Chinese-Taipei, lumamang ang Jordan sa third period, 67-65, bago kumulapso sa fourth quarter.

Umiskor ang bagong naturalized player ng Jordan na si Jimmy Baxter ng 30 points, habang may 18 si Wesam Al-Sous at 10 ni Mahmoud Abdeen.

Ang Jordan ang runner-up sa nakaraang FIBA-Asia Championship noong 2011 sa Wuhan, China.

Ngunit ngayong taon ay wala na sa line-up ng Jor­dan sina Sam Daghlas, Zaid Abbas at naturalized player Rasheim Wright.
