Mga athletic directors mihangop sa 'drug test'

CEBU, Philippines -  Mga athletic directors sa nagkadaiyang tunghaan dinhi sa Sugbu mipalanog sa hugot nilang pagsuporta sa mandatory drug testing policy nga i-implementar sa Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation  Inc. (CESAFI) ug alang kanila angayan lamang kining buhaton alang sa labing maayong interes sa liga.

 "It’s really good for the league," matud pa ni Alex de la Torre sa Cebu Institute of

Technology-University (CIT-U). "It’s just right that we should discouraged the young ones most specially the students from this kind of abuse."

 "I would even suggest that it will be done randomly after a game. If we really want to catch somebody, surprise drug tests should be administered," dugang pa ni De la Torre.

 Si Ryan Aznar sa Southwestern University ug Bernard Ricablanca sa University of Cebu susama'g panahom ni De la Torre.

 "That’s a welcome development and we have no problem with that. In fact, we’ve been doing that already because drug test is one of the requirements of our players in securing medical certificates from our school physician," batbat pa ni Aznar.

 "That’s a very commendable move and we’re 100 percent in support of that. It’s very essential to have that kind of policy so that we can have a wholesome tournament as well as a wholesome lifestyle for our players," nagkanayon si Ricablanca.

 Sa iyang bahin, si Rico Navarro sa Sacred Heart School  nagkanayon nga dalaygon kaayo ang maong lakang sa CESAFI, apan ang dakung hagit  nagpahipi kun unsa ka epektibo ang implementasyon unya niini.

 "The drug test is good so that the athletes will be ‘cleaned’," matud pa ni Navarro. "But the crucial part is the implementation, how effective it is."

 Gawas sa mga players, ang tanang mga opisyales sa liga lakip na ang mga reperi, table officials, coaches ug ang ilang mga deputy ipaubos sab sa drug test.

 Gibutyag ni Tiukinhoy ang mandatory drug test masugdan unya pa sa Hulyo 15, ang adlaw nga ilang gitagana alang sa final screening sa mga basketball players.
