Cornley posibleng patawan ng lifetime ban ng PBA
MANILA, Philippines - Matapos ang lifetime ban kay Petron Blaze import Renaldo Balkman dahil sa pagwawala matapos ang kanilang kabiguan noong Marso 8, posibleng hindi na rin makapaglaro si dating Rain or Shine reinforcement Jamelle Cornley sa Philippine Basketball Association.
Ito ay matapos siyang aresÂtuhin dahil sa panaÂnapak sa isang pulis sa Quezon City noong Miyerkules.
“If the allegations and charges in this incident are proven to be true, I see Mr. Cornley as having zero chance of playing in the PBA again, at least not under my watch,†wika ni PBA Commissioner Chito Salud.
Ayon kay QCPD Station 10 chief Superintendent Marcelino Pedrozo Jr., pinagnakawan ang 6-foot-5 na si Cornley ng halos P60,000 ng tatlong prostitutes na kanyang kinuha.
“The police can say whatever they want. All I know is this: I have never assaulted an officer. I have never been in jail before. I have no criminal record in the United States or anywhere else,†ani Cornley, iginiya ang Elasto Painters sa kauna-unahang PBA title sa 2012 Commissioner’s Cup at hinirang bilang Best Import at nanatili sa bansa dahil sa kanyang injury.
