FIBA-Asia officials ikinatuwa ang pagkilala ng PSA sa SBP
MANILA, Philippines - Binati ng dalawang mataas na opisyales ng FIBA-Asia ang SamaÂhang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) sa pagkakahirang nito bilang Best National Sports Associations ng Philippine Sportswriters Association.
Pinuri nina FIBA-Asia president Sheikh Saud bin Ali Al-Thani ng Qatar at executive director Hagop Khajiran ng Lebanon ang pagpaparangal ng PSA sa SBP.
Sa isang email para kina SBP president Manny V. Pangilinan at executive director Sonny Barrios, sinabi ni Khajirian na “It is indeed heartening and exciting to note that a member National Federation has been recognized†as an overachieving NSA.â€
“More importantly, as a basketball fan, I am excited that a basketball organization has been accorded such a national honor,†dagdag pa nito.
Pinasalamatan naman ni Barrios ang FIBA-Asia.
“Under your leadership at FIBA Asia and your show of trust and confidence for SBP under the presidency of Mr. Pangilinan, we are inspired even more to do well as a basketball federation and as a member of good standing of FIBA Asia,†ani Barrios.
