CEBU, Philippines - Gisakmit sa Pilipinas ang overall championship  sa 2nd International Shotokan Karate Federation (ISKF) World Shoto Cup 2012 sa miaging gabii didto sa Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

Ang Pilipinas mitapos sa duha ka adlaw nga torneyo bitbit ang 51 ka mga medalya --  21 ka golds, 15 silvers ug 15 usab ka bronzes.

Ang mga Pinoy karatekas mipakita sa ilang abilidad batok sa dul-an 300 ka mga karate masters gikan sa 16 ka nasud sa tibuok kalibutan.

Nangulo sa kalampusan sa Team Philippines ang mga juniors division karatekas sama nila ni Prince Andreen Zipagan ug Franchesca Reign Lim, kinsa midominar sa 16-17 years old individual kata (forms) ug kumite (sparring) events.

Mokompleto sa mga Pinoy gold medalists mao sila si Marione Mae Rebanal (14-15 girls kumite), Alexander Lay ug Gabrielle de la Rosa (12-13 individual kata and kumite), Geoff Millard (10-11 boys kata), Roi Lao (10-11 boys kumite), Lalor Deang (10-11 girls kata), David Ian Tubana (8-9 boys individual kata), Andi Tindugan (8-9 boys kumite), Urielle Joaquin (8-9 girls kata) ug China Fontillas (8-9 girls kumite).
