Cojuangco, Garcia guest sa PBC Open kegfest

MANILA, Philippines - Inimbitahan sina Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Jose Cojuangco Jr. at Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman Ricardo Garcia para maging panauhing pandangal sa pagbubukas ng PBC (Philippine Bowling Congress)-PSC-POC Open championships sa Linggo sa SM Center lanes sa Mall of Asia sa Pasay City.

Papalo sa mahigit na P1 milyon ang premyong itatapon sa torneo na suportado rin ng Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, Department of Tourism at Boysen Paints.

“We are happy and proud to invite our top sports leaders in the kick-off ceremony of our ambitious event,” wika ni PBC president Ernesto A. “Toti” Lopa.

Ang mga kasapi ng national team sa pangu­nguna ni 2006 World men’s champion Biboy Rivera ang mangunguna sa mga kalahok sa Masters division na maggagawad ng P120,000 at P100,000 sa mga hihiranging kampeon sa kalalakihan at kababaihan.

Kasali rin ang mga med­alists sa 16th Asian Youth Championships sa Egypt na sina Enzo Hernandez at Alexis Sy bukod pa kay SEA Games gold medalist Frederick Ong.

Ang 6-time World Cup champion at nagdedepensang kampeon sa Masters na si Paeng Nepomuceno ay  hindi makakasali sa pagkakataong ito dahil nasa US siya upang magpa-theraphy.

Magagandang premyo rin ang nakataya sa ibang dibisyon na Associate, Seniors at boys’ and girls.
