Villanueva naka-5 gold na sa swimming event: Pangasinan tuloy sa pananalasa

LINGAYEN, Panga­sinan , Philippines --Kumolekta ng pitong gintong medalya ang mga Pangasinenses sa Day 2 para dominahin ang athletics competition sa Nor­thern Luzon leg ng 2012 POC-PSC Batang Pinoy kahapon dito sa Narciso Ramos Sports Complex.

Ang pitong gold medal ng host province ay nanggaling kina Paul Isaac Ma­nibog (boys’ 13-under 200-meter dash), Abigael Faith Castro (girls’ 13-under 200m dash), Reuben Jacob (boys’ 13-under discuss throw), Jenny Ro­se Antonio (girls’ 14-15 javelin throw), Francis Marron (boys’ 13-under 400m hurdles), Mark Conrad Manipon (boys’ 14-15 javelin throw) at Jayson Toribio (boys’ 14-15 400m hurdles).

Humakot ang Pangasinan ng 28 gold, 32 silver at 23 bronze medals sa track and field kasunod ang Baguio City (21-9-8) at Candon, Ilocos Sur (1-7-13).

Sumikwat din ng pitong ginto ang Baguio City mula kina Sisa Carunu­ngan (girls’ 13-under 2,000m run), Agustina Anganayon (girls’ 14-15 3,000m), Leah Taltala (girls’ 13-under triple jump), Kaizelle Vergara (girls’ 13-under 400m hurdles), Lilia Yatar (girls’ 14-15 400m hurdles), Precious Takinan (girls’ 14-15 triple jump) at Abegail Benalio (girls’ 13-under discuss throw).

Sa swimming event sa Dagupan Poolsite, nagdag­dag ng dalawa sa kanyang naunang nilangoy na tatlong gold medal ang 11-anyos na si Jamleth Marie Villanueva ng Olongapo.

Ito ay matapos pa­munuan ni Villanueva ang mga labanan sa girls’ 11-12 50m butterfly (34.07) at sa 100m backstroke (1:19.80).

Dalawang ginto rin ang kinolekta ni MC Tracy John Alindogan ng Angeles City sa boys’ 11-12 200m breaststroke (2:53.20) at sa 100m breaststroke (1:16.75).
