Spanish coach bumilib sa Pinoy shooters

MANILA, Philippines - Simula pa lamang ng pagsikat ng Pilipinas sa la­rangan ng shooting lalo na sa South East Asia.

Ito ang paniniwala ng bagong kuhang Spanish coach na si Miguel Tajuelo Rodriguez matapos ang produktibong resulta sa kampanya ng Pambansang shooters na lumahok sa South East Asian Shoo­ting Association Cham­pion­­ships (SEASA) sa Ma­laysia ka­ma­kailan.

Nanalo ng isang ginto si Eric Ang habang umani pa ang Pilipinas ng dalawang pilak at tatlong bronze me­dals sa nasabing torneo.

“I have no doubt about the quality of the Philippines shooters. I was surprised with the high quality of their training. Their recent sho­wing was impressive,” wika ni Rodriguez na kinuha ng Philippine National Shoo­ting Association (PNSA) na pinamumunuan ni Mikee Romero ng Harbour Centre.

Tinuran din ni Rodriguez sina Celdon Arella­no, Jason Valdez, Shanin Lyn Gonzales, Ylvana Dy, Joel­le Panganiban, Mo­nica Yang, Frances Nicole Medina, Amparo Acuna at Venus Lovelyn Tan na may malaking potensyal na tinga­lain sa sport na pinili.

Suportado naman ni Romero ang paniniwalang ito ni Rodriguez.

Pagsasamahin ni Rod­riguez ang kanyang ma­lawaka na karanasan sa pagtuturo, psychological at mental training para humusay ang mga Pinoy shooters.

Bukod sa pagkuha ng foreign coach, ang PNSA ay nagpaplanong ma­ka­pagpatayo ng maka­bagong electronic target range katuwang ang Philip­pine Sports Commission (PSC).
