Iba pang national athletes na 'di produktibo sa PN games isusunod; Men's beach volley team sasampolan ni Garcia

DUMAGUETE CITY, Philippines --Tiyak na may ilang natio­nal athletes na maaaring matanggal sa national pool.

Ito ang babala ni Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman Richie Garcia matapos matalo ang ilang miyembro ng natio­nal team sa kani-kanilang events dito sa 2012 POC-PSC National Games.

Bago pa man simulan ang National Games ay sinabi na ni Garcia na ang mga atletang matatalo ng mga non-national athletes ay maaaring masibak sa national team.

Isa sa mga tinukoy ni Garcia na maaaring mawalan ng suporta ay ang mga miyembro ng national teams na hindi nakapasok sa final ng men’s beach volleyball.

Yumukod sina national players Parley Tupaz at Arvin Avila ng UST Team 3 at sina Jason Ramos at Henry Pecana ng UST 2 at maging sina Arnel Amadeo at Buesuceso Sayson.

Si Tupaz ang tumata­yong national coach, habang tumapos naman b­ilang third placer sina Ama­deo at Sayson.

Samantala, sinikwat ng Philippine Navy ang gold medal sa men’s football, sa­mantalang ang Cebu Ci­ty ang naghari sa softball at ang RP Team ang nagkam­peon sa baseball.

Sa wushu, nagbulsa ng ginto sa kani-kanilang mga events sina Faith Liana Andaya (women’s short wea­pon-taolu), Solomon Cardenas (men’s short weapon), Kariza Kris Chan (women’s freestyle-taiji quan), Jomille Labini (women’s freestyle chang quan), Tate Matthew Chuang (men’s short wea­pon), Jasmin Chan (wo­men’s taiji jian), Nehemiah John Rivera (men’s taiji jian), Alexcis Gomenz (women’s nandao), Dave Degala (men’s short weapon) at Norlence Catolico (men’s freestyle long weapon).

Pormal na magsasara ang National Games nga­yong araw tampok ang mga championship matches sa futsal at football at ang freestyle event sa wrestling.
