NCR sinikwat ang kanilang pang walong sunod na Palaro title

LINGAYEN, Pangasi­nan, Philippines  -- Ganap nang nakamit ng Natio­nal Capital Region ang ka­nilang pang walong sunod na secondary general championships sa 2012 Pa­larong Pambansa dito sa Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center.

Ito ay mula na rin sa ka­nilang pagdomnina sa swim­ming competition sa pa­ngunguna ni Axel Toni Ngui .

Tumapos ang 18-an­yos na si Ngui na may pi­tong gintong medalya ma­tapos pagharian ang pa­borito niyang 200-meter free­style kasunod ang pag-akay kina Joseph Ventinil­la, Sa­muel Ongjoco at Ralph Ke­vin Claveria sa pama­ma­­hala sa 400-meter freestyle relay.

Ang 6-foot-1 na NCR pride ang tinanghal na Most Outstanding Athlete.

Nauna nang nagbida si Nqui sa 100m at 400m free­style at sa 100m backstro­ke at 400m medley relay.

"I'm glad I reached my target of seven gold me­dals, I'm like in cloud nine," sa­bi ni Ngui na kasaluku­yang kumukuha ng kursong Life Science sa Ate­neo De Manila University.

Ginto rin ang ibinigay ni Catherine Bondad, isang 13-anyos na San Beda-Alabang freshman at dating two-time Most Outstanding Athlete.

Nagreyna si Bondad sa women’s 200m at tinulu­ngan naman sina Paula Ca­vanan, Claire Anne Galang at Thea Caluma sa pag-angkin sa ginto sa 400m free­style.
