Region 4-A, CV tankers nagpaparamdam sa PRISAA

CEBU CITY , Philippines --Dinomina ng mga Southern Tagalog tankers at ni Cebuana ace Loren Dale Echavez ang unang araw ng swimming event ng 2012 Private Schools Athletic Association National Collegiate Games kahapon dito sa Cebu City Sports Center.

Sa pangunguna ni­na triple gold medalists Rabino Wilson at Jerome Ma­gallanes, inangkin ng Region 4-A ang walo sa 16 finals, habang winalis ni Echavez, dinala ang Central Visayas, ang women’s 200 at 50-meter freestyle.

Isang freshman student sa La Salle-Dasmariñas, ang 17-anyos na si Magal­lanes ang naghari sa men’s 100-m breastroke (1:13.4) at sa 400-m individual medley (5:39.86).

Si Wilson, isang third year student sa University of Perpetual Help-Biñan, Laguna, ang namuno sa men’s 200 free (2:13.99) at sa 50 free (25.84).

Nagtuwang pa sina Magallanes at Wilson kasama sina Roque Hizola at Julius Rarela para angkinin ang men’s 200 medley relay (2:02.03).

Si Jackelyn Orig ng Saint Anne College-Lu­ce­na ang nagreyna sa wo­­men’s 200 butterfly (2:43.16) at 400 IM (5:56.61), habang sina Andrea Fuentes, Che­rilyn Jurado, Erleane Me­dina at Helyna Magallanes ang bumandera sa women’ 400 freestyle relay (4:51.00).

Sinikwat naman ni Echa­vez, kumuha ng 7 golds at 1 silver sa 2011 PRISAA Games, ang women’s 200 free (2:15.68) at 50 free (28.06).

Sa athletics, nakahugot ang Davao (Region XI) ng ginto mula kina Michael Ian Constantino at Charito Bajuyo sa men’s 1,500 at women’s high jump, ayon sa pagkakasunod.
