Cotto pinag-aagawan nina Pacquiao, Mayweather sakaling hindi na matuloy ang kanilang salpukan

MANILA, Philippines - Hindi lamang si Manny Pacquiao kundi pati si Floyd Mayweather Jr. ay kinakausap ng kampo ni Miguel Cotto para sa posibilidad na laban na mangyayari sa kalagitnaan ng taon.

Ang adviser ni Cotto na si Gaby Penagaricano ang siyang umaming nakikipag-usap sila sa magkabilang kampo dahil ang 31-anyos Puerto Rican boxer ay tiyak na nasa opsyon nina Pacquiao at Mayweather sakaling tuluyang maibasura ang planong pagkikita ng dalawa sa pinakaaasam na laban ng mga mahihilig sa boxing.

Nilinaw din ni Penagaricano na wala pang opisyal na offers ang kanilang tinatanggap sa mga kampong ki­nakausap at pawang mga inisyal na usapan lamang ang nangyayari.

“My opinion is that I think they both have Miguel Cotto as an option for sure. So we have discussed with dis­cussed with both parties the pos­sibility of a fight, but only in generalities as of today,” wi­ka ni Penagaricano sa Ring­tv.com.

Pinangalanan ng may­ba­hay ng Pambansang kamao na si Jinkee Pacquiao na si Cotto ang napili para sa laban na ayon naman kay Top Rank Promoter Bob Arum ay gagawin sa Hun­yo 9 sa alinman sa Thomas and Mack Center o MGM Grand Arena sa Las Vegas.

“Bob Arum has said that repeatedly and we have certainly discussed that as a reality. But we haven’t even begun to discuss any type of terms for the fight. We will see how the events turn going into this week. But as of today, there has been no agreement as to any part of a financial deal regarding a fight with Pacquiao,” sabi ni Penagaricano.
