Perpetual Lady Altas at Altas napanatili ang malinis na rekord sa NCAA volleyball
MANILA, Philippines - Tinalo ng University of Perpetual Help System Dalta ang San Beda , 25-10, 25-22, 25-22, para patuloy na mamayani sa 87th NCAA women’s volleyball tournament sa Emilio Aguinaldo Gym sa Manila.
Ito ang pang walong sunod na panalo ng mga Lady Altas na naglapit sa kanila para sa isang season sweep kasunod ang Emilio Aguinaldo Lady Generals na nagdadala ng 6-2 marka, habang may 3-5 baraha naman ang Lionesses.
"We know we needed this kind of win to get back into the groove because we don't want the Holiday break to slow us down and this helped the team's morale a lot," sabi ni Perpetual coach Dan Rafael.
Napanatili rin ng Perpetual Altas ang malinis na karta nang pabagsakin ang San Beda Red Lions, 25-19, 23-25, 25-19, 25-21, para sa kanilang 7-0 rekord sa itaas ng Arellano University Chiefs (6-0).
May 6-2 kartada ang Red Lions ngayon.
“It was an important win for us because it gave us the solo lead and prevented us from falling down to second with a loss, I’m just happy the players responded to the challenge,” wika ni Perpetual mentor Sammy Acaylar.
Ibinabandera naman ng Junior Altas ang 4-1 card sa high school division sa ilalim ng EAC (5-0).
"I'm proud of our athletes, the school will be behind them until the end," sabi ni league president Anthony Tamayo ng season host Perpetual.
