Pacquiao vs Martinez sa 2012 posible - Roach

MANILA, Philippines - Malaki ang posibilidad na magkrus ang landas nina pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao at Sergio Martinez sa 2012.

Ito ay matapos ihayag ni trainer Freddie Roach na si Martinez ang kanyang napipisil na kalaban ni Pac­quiao kung hindi pa rin ma­seselyuhan ang pinapa­ngarap na tagisan sa pagitan nina Pacquiao at Floyd May­weather Jr.

"I want Mayweather next. Mayweather, quit hiding and sign the contracts!" tila ha­mon ni Roach sa walang tal­ong si Mayweather.

Pero may plan B si Roach kung patuloy na iiwas ang kasalukuyang WBC welterweight champion at ang WBC Diamond middleweight champion na si Martinez ang kanyang na­is na makasukatan ni Pac­­man na idedepensa naman ang WBO welterweight title sa Nobyembre 12 laban kay Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez.

Para mangyari ang tagisang Pacquiao-Martinez ay dapat na mapapayag ang huli na bumaba sa 150-pounds.

“I would put Pacquiao in front of Sergio Martinez at 150 pounds. I think Sergio is very athletic but he got exposed in his last fight. I don't think he is a good boxer,” dag­dag pa ni Roach.

Ang 36-anyos na si Mar­ti­nez ay 48 panalo sa 52 la­­ban kasama ang 27 KO pe­ro nakakita ng butas si Roach sa istilo ng middleweight champion nang hina­rap si Darren Barker na na­talo gamit ang 11th round knockout.

Payag naman si Martinez na labanan si Pacquiao ka­hit magsasakripisyo sa pag­baba ng timbang dahil na­sa 159 pounds ito puma­sok sa huling dalawang la­ban.

“Yes, we wil take that fight at 150 pounds and no, we will not be excessive in our financial demands,” pa­hayag ng promoter ni Mar­­tinez Lou Dibella sa pa­nayam ng Boxingscene.
