Gastusin ng PSC sa SEAG mababawasan sa pagpasok ng mga sponsor

MANILA, Philippines - Ang pagpasok ng mga sponsors ang magpapa­gaan sa gastusin ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) para sa darating na 26th Southeast Asian Games na nakatakda sa Nobyembre 11-22.

Sa inilatag na pondong P30 milyon ng PSC, kakasya lamang ito sa 600 hanggang 650 miyembro ng national delegation na magtutungo sa naturang biennial event. 

“Marami tayong mga pri­vate individuals who are willing to help. And as this number goes up, bababa naman ‘yung (gastos) ng PSC,” wika kahapon ni deputy Chef De Mission Romero Magat ng lawn ten­nis association.

Umabot na sa 428 ang naisumiteng entry by na­mes ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) sa Indonesia SEAG Organizing Committee (INASOC).

“Sa number (428) na ito, it will go down to 357 na susuportahan na lang ng PSC,” dagdag ni Magat na nagsabi ring sasagutin na ni businessman/sportsman Manny V. Pangilinan ang gastusin ng boxing, basketball at taekwondo.

Si Pangilinan ang chairman ng Amateur Boxing Association of the Philippines (ABAP) at presidente ng Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP).
