Samtang ang defending champion sa elementary division nga USC makasugat og lig-ong kontra sama sa Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, Pardo Elementary School ug Cebu City Central School.

Gawas sa mga tunghaan sa Sugbu, ang "out-of-town" nga koponan gikan sa Dumaguete, Tagbilaran, Ormoc, Maasin, Roxas ug Iloilo nagtinguha sab sa pagpalagpot sa UC ug USC sa tagsa-tagsa nila ka trono.
