Perpetual susulong sa NCAA chess
MANILA, Philippines - Hangad ng host University Perpetual Help System Dalta na makapagparamdam sa darating na 87th NCAA chess tournament na nakatakda sa Hulyo 30 sa SM City Manila.
Sinabi ni Altas coach Assistio Bagaipo na hangad nilang makapasok sa Final Four.
"The players worked hard in preparing for this event and hopefully we'll reap the fruits of our hard labor," wika ni Bagaipo, tinutulungan ni asistant Philip Medina sa pagsasanay sa Las Piñas-based woodpushers.
"Our goal, of course, is to finish in the top four, which we know is very achievable this season," dagdag pa ni Bagaipo sa mithiin ng Perpetual.
Si veteran Aries Monera ang inaasahang babandera sa Perpetual sa top board katuwang sina Jean Paul Bagaipo, Justine Nicole de Jesus at Jenwin Alconcher na lalaro sa second, third at fourth boards, ayon sa pagkakasunod.
Sina Kris Angelique Melicano at Aurora Kim Dantes ang tatayong alternates o mga board 5 at 6 players.
"We've always supported our Perpetual Help players and we're hoping and praying for a good performance in all sports," kumpiyansang wika ni Perpetual Help owner Col./Dr. Antonio Tamayo sa Altas.
