UR: Last Sunday, June 26.

SG: How long you’ll be staying here in Cebu and train at Doce Pares?

UR: I’m staying until August.

SG: Is eskrima also popular in Japan?

UR: Yes, but it’s only a minor kind of martial arts there. The most popular is karate and jujitsu.

SG: Upon tour return to Japan, are you planning to teach eskrima and propagate it?

UR: Yes. That is my primary purpose to learn this kind of Filipino martial arts. I have to train daily from Monday to Saturday and my rest day is only Sunday.
