Philstar.com, PBA sinelyuhan ang 3-year deal
MANILA, Philippines - Pumasok ang Philstar.com, ang online arm ng STAR Group of Publications, sa isang eksklusibong kasunduan sa Philippine Basketball Association para isaere via streaming ang mga PBA games live sa www.philstar.com.
Sa ilalim ng kasunduan, ang philstar.com ang maghahatid ng mga PBA games live sa pamamagitan ng live stream hanggang sa 2013. Ito ay mula 36th, 37th hanggang 38th PBA seasons.
Maaari ring idaan ng Philstar.com sa live stream ang mga PBA games sa pamamagitan ng replay basis. Nauna nang sinimulan ng top news website ang pagsasaere ng PBA Commissioner’s Cup games, kasama rito ang All-Star weekend noong nakaraang buwan at nakaakit ng halos 700,000 viewers.
“We’re very happy with the performance of our live-streaming partnership with philstar.com. This turned out to be a great help to our countrymen, especially our OFWs in the Middle East and the US who really want to follow PBA games,” wika ni PBA commissioner Chito Salud sa contract signing kahapon sa PBA office sa Libis, Quezon City.
“We decided to partner with philstar.com to make PBA games accessible to people on the go and those who are either stuck in their office or on the road wanting to see the games live and in real time,” dagdag pa niya.
Sina Salud, kasama si Rhose Montreal, PBA Licensing and Special Projects manager, ay lumagda sa kontrata kasama ang kinatawan ng philstar.com Chief Operating Officer na si Roseanne Belmonte at marketing manager Joanne Llavore.
“By entering into a license agreement with the PBA, we strengthen our already rich sports section by giving our readers, especially those outside the Philippines, a chance to experience the game. This is another way of uniting the Filipino Global Community,” Belmonte said.
