Gadi at Vivas maghaharap sa finals ng open men's singles sa PBaRS

Manila, Philippines - Binigo ni Antonino Gadi si Peter Magnaye, 21-18, 21-6, para makalapit sa pag-angkin sa Open men’s singles crown sa MVP Sports Foundation-Bingo Bonanza Philippine Badminton Ranking System (PBaRS) tournament sa Pohang Badminton Courts sa Bacolod City.

Ito ang ikaapat na sunod na straight set win ni Gadi, tinalo si Golden Shuttle Foundation teammate Patrick Natividad para sa ti­tulo ng premier class noong Mar­so.

Makakasagupa ng top-seeded bet sa finals si Paul Vivas ng Phl/Victory na tumalo kay Kevin Dalisay, 17-21, 21-14, 21-12, sa kanilang semis duel sa ranking tournament na itinataguyod nina Vice President Jejomar Binay, Rep. Albee Benitez at businessman-sportsman Manny V. Pangilinan katuwang ang official equipment sponsor na Victor.

Matapos sibakin ang da­ting reynang si Bianca Carlos sa straight sets sa Last 8 noong Huwebes, uma­bante sa finals si Mal­vinne Alcala sa Open ladies singles mata­pos igu­po si Da­­nica Bolos, 21-11, 21-9, sa semis.

Makakaharap ni Alcala si second seed Gelita Castillo na naglista ng 21-5, 21-6 panalo laban kay Pauline Ramos sa event na su­portado ng PLDT-Smart Foun­dation, Gatorade at Po­wersmash kasama ang The Philippine STAR, TV5, Bad­minton Extreme Philippines Magazine, Jam 88.3, Wave 89.1, Magic 89.9, 99.5 RT at 103.5 WOW! bilang mga media partners.

Pinadapa ni Joper Es­cueta sa Under-19 boys category si JC Clarito, 21-16, 21-13, para makatagpo si Kenneth Monterubio, bumigo kay Wilbert Natividad, 21-13, 21-11, habang giniba ni Carlos sa U-19 girls class si Cassandra Lim, 21-14, 21-10.
