GMs Torre, Antonio Jr. babandera sa Pinas sa Asian Zonals, sisikad ngayon

TAGAYTAY Philippines --Nakatakdang sumulong ang 2011 Asian Zone 3.3 chess championships ngayon sa Tagaytay In­ternational Convention Center.

Babanderahan rin nina GMs Eugene Torre at Rogelio Antonio, Jr. ang kampanya ng bansa sa naturang nine-round competition na pinamamahalaan ng National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) katuwang ang Tagaytay City government.

Makakasama nina Torre  at Antonio sina GMs John Paul Gomez at Darwin Laylo, miyembro ng koponang nag-uwi ng silver medal sa 2010 Asian Games sa Guangzhou, China.

Nasa listahan rin sina GM Mark Paragua, IM Richard Bitoon, Oliver Barbosa, Rolando Nolte, Asian Youth gold medalist IM Jan Emmanuel Garcia, Rodrigo Atotubo, Emmanuel Emperado at reigning national junior champion Mari Joseph Turqueza.

May tiket na si GM Wesley So para sa World Cup.

Kasali rin ang mga fo­reing best na sina GMs Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son, Dao Thien Hai, Nguyen Anh Dung, Nguyen Duc Hoa at   Nguyen Van Huy ng Vietnam, Zhang Zhong ng Singapore, Susanto Megaranto, Cerdas Barus, Dede Liu at Chandra Purnama ng Indonesia.

Tampok naman sa women’s division sina Li Ruofan ng Singapore, Irine Kharisma Sukandar ng Indonesia, Nguyen Thi Thanh An, Hoang Thi Bao, Tram, Nguyen Thi Mai Hung at Le Kieu Thien Kim ng Vietnam at Dulamsuren Yanjimdulam at Uuganbayr Lkhamsuren ng Mongolia.
