Peping pumagitna na sa sigalot ng ICFP, Philcycling

MANILA, Philippines - Para tuluyan nang ma­ka­pagpadala ng koponan sa 26th Southeast Asian Ga­mes sa Indonesia sa Nob­yembre ay papipirmahin ng Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) ang Phil­Cycling at ang Integrated Cycling Federation of the Philippines (ICFP) sa isang ka­sunduan.

Ito ang inihayag kaha­pon ni POC president Jose “Peping” Cojuangco, Jr. sa kanyang plano para kina PhilCycling at Tagaytay City Mayor Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino at ICFP chief Phi­lip Ella Juico.

“I would ask them to sign a contract to ensure that there would be no prob­lems in Indonesia,” wi­ka ni Cojuangco kina To­lentino at Juico.

Matatandaang walang ibinigay na lisensya ang PhilCycling sa national team na lalahok sana sa na­karaang 2009 SEA Ga­mes sa Laos dahilan sa sigalot ni Tolentino kay Cojuangco.

Bagamat ang PhilCycling at si Tolentino ang ki­nilala ng Union Cycliste International (UCI), hindi pa rin binigyan ni Cojuangco ng basbas ang naturang grupo.
