MANILA, Philippines - Para matiyak ang tagumpay ng pamamahala ng Philippine Football Federation (PFF) sa AFC Challenge Cup sa Pebrero 9 sa Panaad Sports Complex sa Bacolod City ay lumapit ang Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) sa Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) kamakalawa.
“We recieved an estimate as to how much it will cost to host this event. and it is in the tune of almost P6 million,” ani PSC chairman Richie Garcia sa hinihingi ng PFF sa kanila.
Ang PAGCOR, ayon kay Garcia, ang siyang makakatulong sa kanila ukol sa laban ng Azkals sa Mongolia sa Challenge Cup.
“The other day, bumisita kami sa PAGCOR kay director George Sarmiento kung ano naman ang maitutulong ng PAGCOR dito, kasi sa Philippine Sports Commission wala kaming budget for this kind of event at hindi ito naisama sa budget namin,” sabi ni Garcia.
Samantala, sinabi ni Garcia na hindi sila maglalabas ng pondo para sa mga Nationals Sports Associations (NSA)s hanggat walang naisusumite sa kanilang budget proposal para sa taong ito.
“For as long as they don’t give us their budget proposal, they will not get any funding from the PSC,” wika ni Garcia sa mga NSAs.
