MANILA, Philippines - Isang shooting guard at dalawang forwards ang susubukang makuha ni Meralco coach Ryan Gregorio mula sa 2010 PBA Rookie Draft na nakatakda sa Linggo sa Market! Market! sa Taguig City.
Kabilang sa mga pointguards na binantayan ni Gregorio sa nakaraang PBA Rookie Camp ay sina RJ Jazul, Borgie Hermida, John Wilson, Rey Guevarra at Rudy Lingganay, habang namataan naman niya sina forwards Elmer Espiritu, Bam Bam Gamalinda at Fil-Am Jay Anthony.
“We are looking at the draft. We have three picks in the draft, the No. 11, 13 and 15. But I think there is enough talent, so I’m still hopeful that we can form a competitive team,” ani Gregorio kahapon.
Si Mac Mac Cardona ang magiging ‘franchise player’ ng Meralco, tatawaging Bolts, na kanilang nahugot mula sa isang three-team, four-player trade sangkot ang mga sister teams na Talk ‘N Text at Air21.
Maliban kay Cardona, nasa Meralco rin sina Marlou Aquino, Beau Belga, Bitoy Omolon, Gabby Espinas, Ogie Menor, Yousif Aljamal, Pong Escobal at Chris Ross.
Samantala, kumpiyansa naman si Powerade, dating Coca-Cola, mentor Bo Perasol sa kanilang magiging kampanya sa darating na 36th PBA season.
Sina Asi Taulava, Dennis Espino, Gary David, Chico Lanete, Mark Macapagal, Paolo Mendoza, RJ Rizada, Will Antonio, Francis Allera, Ricky Calimag, Marvin Cruz, Dale Singson, Rodney Santos, Norman Gonzales, Larry Rodriguez at Ken Bono ang ibabandera ng Tigers.
