Roach mas gustong manalo si Mosley kay Mayweather Jr.

MANILA, Philippines - Sa pagitan nina Floyd Mayweather, Jr. at Sugar Shane Mosley, mas gusto ni trainer Freddie Roach na manalo ang huli.

Sa panayam ng Sweet Science.com kahapon, kum­piyansa ang 49-anyos na si Roach na si Mosley ang mananalo sa kanilang laban ni Mayweather sa Mayo 1 sa MGM Grand sa Las Vegas, Nevada.

“I think it’s going to be close but Mayweather is going to win on points,” wi­ka ni Roach. “But I hope Mosley wins because it will be a better fight with Man­ny.”

Inaasahan nang tatakbu­han lamang ng maarteng si Mayweather si Pacquiao kung maitatakda ang kani­lang pinakahihintay na me­gafight, habang magiging maaksyon naman ang banggaang Pacquiao-Mosley, ayon kay Roach.

Matatandaang bumagsak ang negosasyon para sa Pacquiao-Mayweather fight nang ipilit ng American five-division champion na dumaan sila sa isang random drug testing 14 araw bago ang kanilang laban.

At kung muli itong isusulong ni Mayweather, sinabi ni Roach na hindi na mangyayari ang kanilang salpukan ni “Pacman”.

“If Floyd tries to push that blood test again I can tell you now that we’re not going to fight,” wika ni Roach kay Mayweather. “Who does he think he is? He’s not the Nevada Commission. He’s not going to dictate to us what to do.”

Sakaling manalo si Mosley kay Mayweather, inaasahan ni Roach na wala nang magiging problema sa pagtatakda ng Pacquiao-Mosley welterweight championship fight.

Nakatakdang itaya ni Pacquiao ang kanyang hawak na World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight crown la­ban kay Clottey sa Mar­so 13 sa Cowboys Sta­dium sa Arlington, Texas.

Taglay ni Pacquiao ang kanyang 50-3-2 (38 KOs) ring record kumpara sa 35-3-0 (20 KOs) ni Clottey. (RCadayona)
