NCAA MVP hinugot ng Fern-C sa PBL Draft

MANILA, Philippines - Hinugot ng bagitong Fern-C si NCAA Most Valuable Player (MVP) winner John Wilson ng Jose Rizal University at ilang collegiate stars sa idinaos na second draft ng PBL PG Flex-UK Derm Open Cup nitong Miyerkules sa The Old Spaghetti House sa Robinson’s Mandaluyong City.

Inaasahang pangunguna­han ni Wilson, lumaro sa Har­bour Centre noong huling con­ference, ang kampanya ng Fern-C’s para sa korona ka­tulong sina University of the East star Hans Thiele, La Salle center Kish Co, Arellano’s Jerry Miranda, University of Santo Tomas’ Clark Bautista, Letran’s Jaypee Belencion, San Sebastian’s Raymond Maconocido, National University’s Mervin Baloran at Russell Yaya ng Emilio Aguinaldo College.

Ang pagpasok ng Fern-C ay nagsilbi ring coaching debut ni dating Ginebra star Bal David kasama si dating La Salle star John Cardel na isa sa kanyang mga assistant sa koponan na pag-aari ni Tommy Tan.

Kinuha naman ng Cobra Energy Drink--isa sa dalawang koponan na isasabak ng Asia Brewery team sina La Salle forward Joshua Webb at Fil-Am Marcio Lassiter, na ngayon ay naglalaro para sa Smart-Gilas.

Ang iba pang bagong koponan na sasabak sa aksyon sa Feb. 13 ay ang Admix, Excelcoil at Agri Nurture Inc. (ANI).

Ipaparada naman ng Pascual Laboratories at Asia Brewery ang kani-kanilang second team na Ascof Lagundi at Cossack Vodka, matapos mag-lea­ve of absence ng San Mi­guel Corp., Harbour Centre, Hapee Toothpaste at Toyota Otis.
