“Basketball talents abound the country and these players are usually diamonds-in-the rough who need training and a competitive environment to improve on their skills. That’s why we increased the number of teams this year,” wika ni Altamirano at Compton sa ligang suportado ng Nokia Philippines,TAO Corporation, San Miguel Pure Foods Company, Smart Communications at Burlington.
Dagdag pa ni Altamirano: ”The good thing about these talent identification camps is that these give an objective view on what players the teams need and which ones would fit the program for the long term.”
Isinagawa na ang talent identification camps sa La Union, Ca-vite (Dasmariñas, General Trias at Bacoor), Laguna (Calamba), Cagayan de Oro, Iligan, Leyte (Ormoc at Tacloban), Davao, Cebu, General Santos, Iloilo, Bacolod, Bohol, Zamboanga, Dumaguete at Butuan.
