Cotto, sinasagad ang pagsasanay para sa laban kay Pacquiao

MANILA, Philippines - Sinasagad na ni Miguel Cotto ang kanyang training sa Fight Factory sa Tampa Florida sa paghahanda ng kanyang laban kontra kay Manny Pacquiao sa Nov. 14 sa MGM Grand sa Las Vegas.

Sinabi ng trainer ni Cotto na si Joe Santiago na maayos ang takbo ng kanilang training 'di gaya sa kampo ng training ni Pacquiao sa Baguio kung saan may issue sa pagitan ng trainer na si Freddie Roach at ng Canadian adviser ni Pacman na si Michael Koncz ngunit hindi naman nila ito hinahayaang makaapekto sa training ng Pambansang Kamao.

“It has gone very well here, " pahayag ni Santiago sa boxing scene.com. Thank God everything has gone smoothly. Miguel is happy and in good spirits which is important.We have covered all the objectives that were outlined in these first three weeks."

Nasa proseso na ang kampo ni Cotto ng pagbubuo ng strategy.

"We are workin on the strategic plan right now," ani Santiago. "We are dealing with a southpaw boxer with a great hand speed and for that we are preparing.”

Isinasagawa sa kampo ang tradisyunal na morning runs at fitness at technical work sa gabi.

Ang sparring ay Lunes, Miyerkules at Biyernes.Floor exercises sa Martes, Huwebes at Sabado at pahinga kapag Linggo.

Kung mga sikat ang sparring partners ni Pacquiao, ayaw namang ipagsabi ng kampo ni Cotto kung sino ang kanyang mga ka-sparring.

Sinasabing tapos na ang trabaho ng junior welterweight champion na si Frankie Figueroa kay Cotto.

"That's the key, the sparring.That's as close you can get to the fight. Thats where you can develop the strategy for fighting, " ani Santiago. (Mae Balbuena)
