PBA Press Corps Awards Night sa The Alegria

MANILA, Philippines - Idaraos ng PBA Press Corps na suportado ng Smart Sports, San Miguel Corp., Coca-Cola at Pagcor ang 2009 Annual Awards sa alas-7:30 ng gabi sa Linggo sa The Alegria ng Manila Pavilion.

Ang event na iho-host nina veteran sportscasters Ed Picson at Patricia Bermudez-Hizon ay tatampukan ng pagbibigay ng Coach of the Year at Executive of the Year awards.

Igagawad din ng PBAPC, isang grupo ng mga sportswriters na regular na kumukober ng PBA games, ang Defensive Player of the Year, Mr. Quality Minutes, Comeback Player of the Year, the All-Rookie Team at Referee of the Year.

Pag-aagawan ng mga Coach of the Year nominies ang prestihiyosong Virgilio "Baby" Dalupan Trophy. Ang mga tropeo ay mula sa Angel Zamora and Sons.

Ang Smart Sports, San Miguel Corp., Coca-Cola at Pagcor ay mga major supporters ng Philippine sport.

Ang Smart Sports ang sumusuporta sa Smart Gilas developmental team at ng RP boxing squad habang ang San Miguel Corp. at Coca-Cola ang salitang nagpopondo ng RP basketball team.

Ang Pagcor, sa ilalim ni chairman Efraim Genuino, ay may sariling sports program bukod sa pagsuporta sa Philippine Sports Commission na ipinag-uutos ng batas.

Inaasahan ang pagdalo ni Legendary coach Baby Dalupan para personal na igawad ang Dalupan Trophy sa Coach of the Year. Dadalo rin sina PBA commissioner Sonny Barrios, kasalukuyang board chairman Lito Alvarez, dating chairman Joaqui Trillo at iba pang PBA officials sa okasyon.
