“The POC must find a formula of peace acceptable to warring NSAs soon. We cannot expect our athletes to perform well when their training programs are constantly

“As it stands now, our bid for athletic dominance in the region this December is already hampered by the selection by the host country of the disciplines to be competed in. We do not have the luxury of time, nor the benefit of the draw,” ani Escudero.

“So these squabbles within the sports and athletics community do not help the country’s bid at all. Our athletes will just have to vie for whatever events are left and some of these events already favor our neighbors,” ani Escudero.

“Our SEA Games bets should be spared the troubles and hassles and be left to train without these distractions clouding minds,” wika ni Escudero.

“Our sports leaders, starting with the POC leadership, should show statesmanship at this crucial time in the preparation of our athletes.
