Pacquiao, malaki ang naitulong sa panalo ng kaispar na si Antillon

MANILA, Philippines – Bago pa man labanan ni Manny Pacquiao si Ricky Hatton ay may naitulong na si “Pacman” sa isa niyang sparmates.

Napanatili kahapon ni No. 1 lightweight contender Urbano Antillon ang kanyang malinis na ring record matapos talunin si Tyrone Harris via fifth-round TKO sa Hard Rock Hotel & Casino sa Las Vegas, Nevada.

Si Antillon ay isa sa mga kinuha ni trainer Freddie Roach na sparring partner ng world four-division king na si Pacquiao bilang pag-hahanda kay Hatton.

“I had the best preparation for this fight working with Manny Pacquiao,” ani Antillon, may matayog na 26-0-0 win-loss-draw ring record kasama ang 19 KOs. “I’m ready for the biggest names out there.”

Matapos patulugin si Harris, may 23-5-0 (15 KOs) ngayon, sinabi ng trainer ni Antillon na si Rudy Hernandez na handa na itong makipagbanggaan kina Juan Manuel Marquez, Juan Diaz at Edwin Valero.

“We’re waiting for the big fight to happen,” ani Hernandez.

Kaugnay nito, dalawang Filipino fighters rin ang uma-gaw ng eksena sa undercard.

Tinalo ng beteranong si super lightweight Dennis Laurente (31-3-4, 16 KOs) si Marvin Cordova via unanimous decision sa kanilang eight-round bout kagaya ng iniskor ni super lightweight Mark Melliguen (14-1-0, 10 KOs) kay Ramon Montano.

Sina Cordova (20-1-1, 11 KOs) at Montano (17-7-2, 2 KOs) ay kapwa na-ging sparmates ni Pacquiao sa Wildcard Boxing Gym ni Roach. (RCadayona)
