PBL PG Flex Unity Cup di-dribol

MANILA, Philippines - Kapwa sisimulan ng mga nakaraang finalists na Oracle Residences, dating Harbour Centre, at Magnolia Purewater ang kani-kanilang mga kampanya sa pagdribol ng 2009 PBL PG Flex Unity Cup ngayong hapon sa San Juan gym.

Makakasagupa ng Oracle Titans ang Licealiz, dating Hapee Toothpaste, sa ganap na alas-4 ng hapon matapos ang pag-haharap ng Magnolia at Pharex sa alas-2.

Ang Oracle ang siyang magpapatuloy sa iniwang ‘winning legacy’ ng Harbour Centre, naghari sa nakaraang anim na sunod na torneo ng PBL.

“It’s going to be a hot summer for PBL fans,” pagtiyak ni PBL Commissioner Chino Trinidad. “We will give you total entertainment from the opening day till our Finals. The way I look at the line-ups, it’s almost even.”

Sa pagreretiro ni team owner Mikee Romero sa pangalan ng Batang Pier at ni head coach Jorge Gallent, si Glenn Capacio naman ng Far Eastern University ang gigiya sa Oracle Titans.

Sa inisyal na laro, babanderahan nina Neil Raneses, Al Magpayo at Eder Saldua ang Magnolia katuwang ang mga bagong hugot na sina Ogie Menor at Marcy Arellano kontra kina Ronnie Matias, Dondon Villamin, Brian Faundo at Fil-Am guard Josh Urbiztondo ng Pharex.
