Khan mabilis kumilos at mabilis ang kamay

Sa pagitan nina Filipino boxing hero Manny Pacquiao at Amir Khan, sinabi ni Ameri-can trainer Freddie Roach na mas mabilis kumilos at mas mabilis ang mga kamay ng Briton lightweight sensation.

 “Amir is a great athlete his ability to pick up and learn quickly is what really sets him apart,” wika ni Roach kahapon sa ilang piling boxing writers sa United Kingdom. “He’s very eager to improve I had him in front of Pacquiao in the gym for his physical and mental confidence and he needs to be thinking of being on the same level as Manny one day if he wants to achieve his career goals.”

 Ang 22-anyos na si Khan ang naging isa sa mga sparmates ng 30-anyos na si Pacquiao sa kanyang preparasyon kay Oscar Dela Hoya na nagresulta sa isang eight-round TKO laban kay “Golden Boy” sa kanilang non-title welterweight fight noong Disyembre 6 ng 2008.

 Nasa London ngayon ang 49-anyos na si Roach para sa lightweight championship fight ni Khan kontra kay Mexican boxing great Marco Antonio Barrera sa Linggo.

 Sa nakita niya kay Khan, sinabi ni Roach na kaya nitong talunin ang sinumang light-weight, kasama na rito ang 35-anyos na si Barrera na dalawang beses tinalo ni Pacquiao noong 2004 at 2006.   

 “He holds his own with Manny in sparring for three rounds, and if he can do that with Manny, he can do it with anyone in the world around his weight limit. He’s also the only person who can keep up with Pacquiao running. His speed is his asset, he has faster handspeed than Manny, and a fantastic jab, and like Manny, has the right style to beat Barrera,” ani Roach kay Khan na kababayan ni Ricky Hatton. (Russell Cadayona)
