Mapua players nagpasikat sa PBL spirants Camp

Pinangunahan nina Ian Mazo at Allan Manga-has, ang dalawang rising stars mula sa Mapua ang mahabang listahan ng mga players na pumukaw ng pansin sa PBL Aspi-rants Camp nitong Saba-do sa Jose Rizal Univer-sity gym sa Mandaluyong.

Pinahanga ng 6’2 na si Mazo ang mga coaches at kinatawan ng pitong teams sa kanyang peri-meter sniping, speed at defensive skills sa five-hour Camp na pinangasi-waan ni former PBA assis-tant coach Joey Guanio at two-time MVP Benjie Paras gayundin ang 5’10 na si Mangahas sa kan-yang court leadership at outside shooting.

May kabuuang 216 players ang nakibahagi sa Camp ngunit hindi naki-bahagi ang mga players ng Ateneo at La Salle dahil katatapos lamang ng kanilang UAAP Finals series gayunpaman ay maaari silang sumali sa Rookie Draft bukas sa Ynares Sports Center sa Pasig City na magsisimu-la sa alas-7:00 ng gabi.

Samantala, sinabi ni PBL Commissioner Chi-no Trinidad na wini-with-draw na niya ang kani-lang mga referees at technical officials sa 84th NCAA seniors basketball championship.

Ayon kay Trinidad, ipinagbigay alam na niya ang desisyong ito kay NCAA Management Committee Chairman Fernando Lozano upang maagang makagawa ng paraan ang NCAA.
