Nakatakdang sagupain ng nagdedepensang Indonesia, ibabandera sina world-ranked Evert Sukamta at Della Destiara, ang Singapore sa semifinals ng girls’ team event ngayong umaga at kakatagpuin ng Thailand ang No. 2 seed Malaysia.
Hindi naman nakaporma si Joper Escueta kay Pisit Poodchalat, isang World Grand Prix qualifier, 12-21, 10-21, sa boy’s singles, habang natalo si Peter Gabriel Magnaye kay Nipitphong Phuangpuaphet, 17-21, 8-21at ginapi si John Robert Ner ni Pawarit Supasri, 17-21, 17-21.
