Dormitoryo sa RMSC handog ng PSC sa mga atleta

Isang maayos na dormitoryo sa maalamat na Rizal Memorial Sports Complex (RMSC) ang inaasahang magiging Pamasko ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) sa mga national athletes na magbabalik sa Enero ng 2008 mula sa bakasyon.

 Kahapon ay ipinag-utos na ni PSC chairman William “Butch” Ramirez kay PSC Executive Director Fr. Vicente Uy ang pagpapasimula sa rehabilitasyon ng dormitoryo ng mga atleta sa RMSC sa Vito Cruz, Manila.

 Ang nasabing pagpapaayos, ayon kay Uy, ay sisimulan sa Enero 2 ng 2008 at inaasahang matatapos sa naturan ring buwan.   

 “Chairman William Ramirez has given me the instructions to go ahead with the planned repairs and renovation of these quarters which will start on January 2, 2008 and is expected to be completed by the end of that month,” sabi ni Uy.

 Bago pa man ang katatapos na 24th Southeast Asian Games ay nagplano na si Ramirez na ipaayos ang dormitoryo ng mga national athletes sa RMSC.

 At habang nasa bakasyon ang mga ito, ayon kay Uy, ay sasamantalahin na ng sports commission ang pagkakataon. 

 “We are taking the opportunity while the athletes are on their yearend vacation to inspect their quarters, identify the things that needed to be repaired and rehabilitated so that when they return from their respective provinces, they will find newly refurbished quarters that are deserving for national heroes like our athletes,” ani Uy.

 Nakatakdang magbalikan sa RMSC at sa training ang mga atleta sa unang linggo ng Pebrero. (Russell Cadayona)
